…Igbo-Eze South Produces Two Deputies in Key State Positions, Ukwueze and Ezugwu
Demonstrating his growing influence in Enugu state politics, Hon. Ugochukwu Ezugwu (Opposer), Leader of the Igbo-Eze South Legislative Council, has been elected Deputy Coordinating Leader of the 260 Ward Councillors in Enugu State. Hon. Ezugwu who is the councilor of Alor-Agu ward will serve alongside Hon. Obumneme Obed Eke of Enugu East, who was elected Coordinating Leader.
This election solidifies Hon. Ezugwu’s growing influence in Enugu State’s political landscape. Known for his decisive leadership and commitment to grassroots development, his new role is expected to enhance the coordination and effectiveness of ward councillors across the state.
The news comes on the heels of another landmark achievement for Igbo-Eze South, as Barr. Ugochukwu Ferdinand Ukwueze, Chairman of the Local Government Area, was recently elected Deputy Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Enugu State Chapter, where he deputises Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh, Chairman of Nkanu East LGA.
These back-to-back victories shows the quality of leadership emerging from Igbo-Eze South LGA, widely recognised for producing leaders who champion innovation and progress.
