Igbo-Eze South Chairman Graces St. Peter’s Anglican Church Ovoko’s Annual Harvest

…Hon. Ukwueze calls on the youth to embrace the fear of God and respect elders.

The Chairman of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area and Deputy Chairman Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON Enugu State, Hon. Ugo Ferdinand Ukwueze, led dignitaries and worshippers in celebrating the General Annual Harvest of St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Ovoko, held on Sunday, 15 December, 2024. Themed “Harvest of Overflow”, the event was a grand occasion of thanksgiving and spiritual reflection.

In his address, Hon. Ukwueze lauded the church for its enduring impact on his life and the community. “St. Peter’s Anglican Church is the church of my boyhood, where my faith and values were nurtured. It is always a blessing to return and celebrate with this congregation. I encourage our youth to walk in the fear of God, respect their elders, and embrace values that will guide them to a fulfilling future. Let us work together and continue to build a stronger and united Igbo-Eze South.”

The Chairman was accompanied by the Igbo-Eze South PDP Party Chairman, Hon. Ejike Sunday Amedu, Chief of Staff to the Local Government, Hon. Anthony Odo, and Chief Press Secretary, Hon. Sunday Ezenwankwo and others.

The service culminated in a benediction for Hon. Ukwueze and other attendees, delivered by the Archdeacon of Ovoko Archdeaconry, Ven. Dr. Nnamdi Ijeudo.

This year’s harvest celebration reinforced the church’s commitment to fostering spiritual growth and gratitude, echoing its theme of divine abundance.
