“Good morning dear Deacon Okey Ogbodo,
My name is Harrison Ogara, Member Enugu State House of Assembly representing Igbo Eze South Constituency.
I am constrained to send you this text as my calls to you return unpicked.
Sir, I was one of the observers sent by the State Assembly to monitor the Igweship election held on March 25, 2025 at Alor AguCommunity in Igbo Eze South LGA.
That the conduct of the election was smooth and at the end of counting of votes and computation which were done by the officials from your Ministry, Mr. Christian Ugwuanyi scored 694 votes while Mr. Okwu Omeke scored 622 votes.
Let me state that shortly before the completion of the computations of the votes scored by the two aspirants, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Town Union, Mr. Obumneke Eze absconded from the venue when he knew he was the one to announce the final results.
I am surprised that about three weeks after the election, the Ministry was yet to make any public statement on the matter.
Today, news is rife that your Ministry has allegedly concluded plans to announce the loser of the election (Okwu Omeke) as the winner.
Permit me to say sir, that announcing the loser as the winner might trigger off an unimaginable crisis in Alor Agu Community which is part of my constituency.
I hereby pray you to announce the results as were recorded during the election which I earlier said was free, fair and credible.
It is also proper to state herein that the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Barr. Ugo Ferdinand Ukwueze monitored the election till the end.
To arrest any brewing breach of law and order in the community, I advise that you invite the winner of the election and declare him as such.
Thanks for your kind attention.
Yours sincerely,
Hon. Harrison Ogara,
Enugu State House of Assembly member,
Representing Igbo-Eze South Constituency”
